1. How to take care of your Simmons® Open
Coil Mattress?
Flip and Turn Mattress
Flip and turn your mattress every 3 months. This will help to relieve the compression on the upholstered materials that work with the coils to provide comfort and support at the same time. Normally, body impression of less than 38 mm (1.5 inch) that appear after a period of use is not considered as defects.
1. Move the mattress according to arrows
2. Position it across the bed
3. Raise mattress up as indicated
4. Lay down mattress gently as shown
5. Turn the mattress alternatively
6. Position the mattress well
Mattress Foundation is important
Do use a supportive, rigid, non-yielding foundation. An old
foundation may not provide sufficient support.
An inappropriate foundation cannot provide sufficient support,
and will cause sagging. Examples of inappropriate foundation
include net or slate type bed frames with structural space wider
than 7.5 cm (3 inch), a foundation which is smaller than the
mattress, etc.
Use foundation that can fully support the head, foot and sides
of the mattress.
For queen and king size mattresses, a rigid center support
is needed.
Never Fold, Stand or Jump on the Mattress
Folding, bending, standing, jumping or sitting on the mattress’s
edge can seriously damage the mattress or foundation.
Routine Bedding Care
Use a quilted mattress pad to protect the mattress from getting
soiled.
Brush, vacuum-clean and air the mattress regularly to keep
it clean.
